2- Acetate discs by The Quarrymen (1958)
Price: $200,000
Did you know that The Quarrymen was a British skiffle/rock and roll group formed by John Lennon in 1956?
That band eventually evolved into The Beatles we all know, back in the 60s.
The record it’s in Paul McCartney private collection, but its estimated value was set between $180,000- $200,000.
However, don’t expect to be sold very soon, because Paul is very attached to it.
Before it got to Paul’s private collection, the group’s first recording session remained in the hands of pianist John Duff Lowe until 1981 when he sold it to McCartney.
McCartney had the songs on the disk digitally pre-mastered and copies pressed for friends. Each of those records is worth $20,000.
