In 2010, the Dallas Bridal Fair unveiled one of the most expensive wedding cakes in the world.
Created by Dallas Delicious Cake in collaboration with the Dallas Gold and Silver Exchange, the fancy cake is covered in ivory fondant and weighs over 160 pounds.
Those fine scrolling lines of silver ‘luster dust’ makes the cake look luxurious.
Strings of diamonds embellish the 9 tiers and several large sapphires are placed along the cake’s base. If we draw the line, that’s 1.200 carats of diamonds and sapphires.
The wedding cake served 320 people. So, according to its price, that’s about $3.125 a slice! Is it worthy?
