7.Capitale, Bowery – Price:$250 per guest
This is one extravagant place for a wedding!
Capitale is actually the former headquarters of the Bowery Savings Bank. I can see that it is sort of a tradition in New York for a Savings Bank to become a reception for weddings and other major events.
The place is huge, incredibly tall with imposing Corinthian columns and it is completely designed by the famous architect Stanford White, so now you can understand how this place reached the list of the most expensive wedding venues in New York.
The cost per person is $250, plus tax and 22% service, but believe me, if you want to host a wedding here, there are many other things you have to pay for besides the guest. Take example the lighting packages that you will absolutely need that starts around $2300.
All in all, I think this place will be worth every penny!
