We begin our top list with this perfume, priced at $175 per ounce. It is an Oriental-spicy perfume created by Jean Amic and Jean-Louis Sieuzac of Roure.
Opium’s top notes are a mixture of fruit and spices: plum, clove, coriander, pepper, bay leaf, mandarin orange.
Its floral middle notes consist of rose, Lily of the Valley, jasmine, in addition to cinnamon, peach and orris root.
Also, the perfume is underlined by sweet woody notes containing sandalwood, opopanax, benzoin, musk, vetiver, amber, incense, patchouli, cedarwood, myrrh, castoreum and labdanum.
