5. The Scream by Edvard Munch
Shades wake up in the most acclaimed sketch that Edvard Munch has painted. German Expressionist Edvard Munch painted The Scream at some point somewhere around 1893 and 1910.
He utilized both paints and pastels on cardboard to give this work of art an impact like no other.
The painting is of a man who appears to be shouting in anguishing agony whilst a sensational orange sky is painted out of sight.
It is said that Munch painted this when he once saw a dark red sky at night which demonstrated to him the map of nature. It is shown in the National Gallery, Oslo, Norway.
