Gary is a Russian chess Grandmaster with an IQ of 190, previous writer, World Chess Champion, and political activist. He is considered by many to be the highest chess player of all time.
From 1986 until his departure in 2005, Kasparov was positioned world No. 1 for 225 out of 228 months. At the age of 22, Kasparov developed the youngest ever acknowledged World Chess Champion in 1985 by beating then-champion Anatoly Karpov.
Garry Kasparov has totally amazed the world, when he played to a draw against a chess computer that could calculate three million positions per second in 2003.
Kasparov, who holds the record for consecutive professional tournament victories (15) and Chess Oscars (11), formed the United Civil Front movement to oppose Russian President Vladimir Putin.
