Due to its location, Harbin is known for its coldest weather and longest winter, among major Chinese cities.
Well, having the longest winter has its perks. And now we’ve reached the ice festival.
This January, the Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival held its 30th anniversary.
These illuminated ice sculptures are amazing!
At Zhaolin Park, there’s this ice lantern garden party. It’s a festival highlight, with 1.500 translucent ice structures with multicolored lights.
And they represent famous landmarks around the world, and even mythical creatures. There’s a different theme each year.
