9.Tequila Sunrise
The next most popular cocktail is Tequila Sunrise.
If you don’t really like drinking shots, but you do enjoy the taste of tequila, the Tequila Sunrise it’s worth a try. The cocktail was created by Gene Sulit in the 90s and was originally served at the Arizona Biltmore Hotel.
The cocktail can be made in two ways: Sulit’s original, made out of tequila, creme de cassis, lime juice and soda water, or the more popular version invented by Bobby Lazoff and Billy Rice, which consists of tequila, grenadine syrup and orange juice.
The name of the cocktail was inspired by its look after being poured in a glass. When the denser ingredients settle, you can see coloured gradations that mimic a sunrise.
