2.Mojito
The second place in our list of most popular cocktails is taken by the refreshing Mojito.
Known to be Cuba’s national cocktail drink (no, it’s not Cuba Libre as you probably imagined), Mojito is a mixture of refreshing citrus, flavour mint and a sweet taste.
The main five ingredients of the Mojito are white rum, sugar, lime, sparkling water and mint, but the Cuban recipe uses yerba buena or spearmint, instead of the mint.
The cocktail has about 10% alcohol, the translation of the name meaning “a little wet”.
Mojito is the perfect cocktail for a hot day on the beach, due to the fresh citrus and mint.
