There isn’t a single woman out there that didn’t at least once took a deep breath in front of the dreamy pages of Vogue magazine.
Vogue is actually the oldest fashion magazine and I’m really not surprised at all. Arthur Turnure created Vogue in the USA as a weekly publication all the way back in 1892, targeting the New York aristocracy. He wanted to create a publication that:
attracts the sage as well as debutante, men of affairs as well as the belle.
The magazine was later bought by Condé Nast in 1905 and turned it into a bi-weekly publication. And not just that! Condé Nast took the magazine overseas and started Vogue in Britain, Spain, Italy and France.
In July 1988, famous Anna Wintour became editor-in-chief and made history at Vogue! Everybody was fascinated of her extravagant style and her different approach to revitalize the brand! Anna’s plan was a total success because until this very day, she is still Vogue’s editor-in-chief.
Just to make you understand that everything is all about Vogue, back in 2006 a critic described Vogue as “the world’s most influential fashion magazine” in The New York Times!
