9.Texas Department of Transportation: Don’t drink & drive
Let me tell you a short story that will shake you to the core!
Jacqueline Saburido, born in Venezuela, was taking a ride home from a birthday party on September 19th, 1999.
Back then, she was just a 20 years old teenger curious to find out what life had prepared for her.
Only..her life prepared a tragic turn of events that night.
Reginald Stephey, another 18 years old teenger was driving back home from a party where he drank all night, at the same night, the same time.
That was an unfortunate coincidence. Reginald’s SUV hit the car Jacqueline was in brutally and caught fire immediately.
Two of Jacqueline’s friends died instantly. Her feet were trapped under the seat and she didn’t manage to crawl out of the car.
Fortunately, she survived until a fire truck arrived and put out the fire, but her body suffered 60% severe burnings.
Jacqueline who was once a pretty young girl, now she is disfigured even after numerous of interventions and scarred for life.
So, the next time you want to drive after you had even a couple of beers, you’d better remember these words!
You are not alone! #8 is there for you!
