This is a list of nine families, down from ten, because we dropped entries we could not update responsibly. How we valued it: the figures are our own estimates for individual family members, not combined family totals, so a family with several earners is likely worth more than the single figure shown.
1. The Kardashian-Jenners
The family starred in the E! reality series Keeping Up with the Kardashians from 2007 to 2021 and have been on the Hulu series The Kardashians since 2022. Kim Kardashian co-founded the shapewear brand SKIMS with Jens Grede. It is valued at over $5 billion as of 2025 and generated around $1 billion in net sales in 2024. Kylie Jenner started Kylie Lip Kits in 2015, renamed Kylie Cosmetics in 2016, and we estimate her at about $1.2 billion before tax.
How we valued it: SKIMS valuation plus our estimate for Kylie Jenner. Individual stakes in SKIMS are not public, so we do not add them up.
2. The Stallones
Sylvester Stallone changed the Hollywood action hero. Rocky won the Oscars for best picture, directing and editing in 1977, and he was nominated for best actor and best original screenplay. In May 2023 he and his wife and three daughters starred in the reality series The Family Stallone, which was renewed for a second season a week after launch. We estimate him at about $450 million.
3. The Hanks family
Tom Hanks is one of the biggest film stars of all time, from Forrest Gump and Apollo 13 to Cast Away and Saving Private Ryan. He married actress Rita Wilson in 1988, and their sons are Chet and Truman. His son from his first marriage, Colin Hanks, is an actor, director and producer. 4. The Douglases
Michael Douglas started on television in The Streets of San Francisco and won the Primetime Emmy for his role in a miniseries. In 2000 he starred in Traffic with future wife Catherine Zeta-Jones. 5. The Smiths
Will Smith began as half of the hip-hop duo DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince, which won the first Grammy for best rap performance in 1989. He became one of the biggest movie stars in the world. Jada Pinkett Smith is an actress and producer, and their children Jaden and Willow are both actors and recording artists. We estimate Will Smith at about $300 million and Jada at about $21 million. 6. The Voight-Jolies
Jon Voight rose in the late 1960s with Midnight Cowboy (1969) and won the best actor Oscar for Coming Home (1978 film). His daughter Angelina Jolie became one of the biggest stars of her generation and a director and humanitarian. We estimate her at about $200 million. Angelina Jolie’s net worth.
7. The Cyruses
Billy Ray Cyrus was the first Cyrus the world knew: “Achy Breaky Heart” reached number four on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1992. His daughter Miley starred in Hannah Montana and became a pop star with three Grammy Awards, a Hollywood Walk of Fame star and the status of Disney Legend. Trace Cyrus was a member of the band Metro Station, whose single “Shake It” reached number four on the Billboard Pop Songs chart in 2008. We estimate Miley at about $160 million. 8. The Sheen-Estevez family
Born Ramon Estevez, Martin Sheen appeared in Badlands (1973), Apocalypse Now (1979), Gettysburg (1993) and The Departed (2006), and starred in The West Wing. His son Charlie Sheen was reported to earn $1.3 million per episode of Two and a Half Men in 2010. Emilio Estevez is an actor and director. We have no current estimate for the family.
9. The Apatow-Manns
Judd Apatow is a producer, director and comedian behind The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up and Bridesmaids. He won a Primetime Emmy for The Ben Stiller Show. His wife Leslie Mann and their daughters, including Maude, have appeared in several of his films. We have no current estimate for the family.
Who left the list?
The earlier version of this list included the Jolie-Pitt-Voights, the Osbournes, the Jacksons and the Williams family. We replaced them: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are no longer a couple, so we kept Jolie’s side as the Voight-Jolies, and we could not update the others reliably.
