Our next most visited country in the world is Germany.
Due to the huge size of Germany and its geographic position, Germany is one of the top destinations for visitors and not only, 30% of the population choosing to spend their holidays in their own country over another international destination.
With 31.5 million visitors in 2013, and 400 million overnight stays in 2012, Germany’s tourism industry is enormous, contributing to around 5% of the country’s GDP.
Among Germany’s attractions you can find the Bavarian sunny gardens, or the Berlin Wall, which has its 25th anniversary this year.
So if you want to visit Germany, don’t hesitate because it’s an amazing country with a wild night-life, and hey, they won the FIFA World Cup, right?
