4. Joseph Kony
Joseph Kony is one of the world’s top ten most wanted. He is known as the leader of Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) in Uganda. He proclaims himself as God’s spokesperson and a spirit medium.
The government has been accusing Kony of ordering children abduction to turn them into child soldiers and sex slaves. According to the government’s data, around 66,000 children became LRA’s soldiers.
In 2005, the International Criminal Court has indicted Kony for war crimes and crimes against humanity. But he managed to evade capture. And since one year later, he has been subject to Interpol Red Notice.
Some of LRA’s commanders have surrendered. The group itself has no longer operated in Uganda. Although some sources claim that they are still active in Congo or Sudan. And three years ago, news spread that Kony is in a poor health condition. He may not be able to evade capture for much longer.
