Ayman Al-Zawahiri is probably the most wanted terrorist in the world. Following the death of Osama bin Laden in 2011, he became the leader of Al-Qaeda. Need I say more?
Al-Qaeda is alleged and claimed to be responsible for various terrorist attacks and wars. Among them are conflicts in Iraq, Pakistan, and the infamous war in Afghanistan since 1996. And the largest, most infamous of all is the 9/11 attack in United States.
As the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center were hit by airplanes, nearly three thousand people, including nineteen hijackers, died and more than six thousand others were injured. It was fifteen years ago yet the wound does not seem to heal.
Since that day, Al-Zawahiri has been on the most wanted list of not just FBI, but also the United States Department of State. And through the department’s rewards for Justice Program, a staggering reward up to $25 million is offered for any information leading directly to his arrest.
