7. Ismael Zambada García
One of the reasons why Mexico is infamous is the fact that the country is overpowered by drug lords. In fact, according to BBC, there are 37 drug lords in Mexico who have jeopardized the country’s national security. Most of them have been captured, killed, or allegedly dead. But three of them remain fugitives. And one of them is Ismael Zambada Garcia.
Ismael runs the Sinaloa Cartel. It was formerly led by the infamous Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, until he was arrested earlier this year. Ismael is now assumed to take full command of the cartel. And his big family is also allegedly involved in his drug trafficking activities.
Unlike most fugitives we have seen on this list, Ismael is not really missing. He is most likely to be in Mexico. But he is just untraceable and untouchable.
To capture this Mexico’s most enduring and powerful drug lord, FBI is offering a reward up to $5 million for any information directly leading to his arrest. This is the highest reward compared to other drug-lord fugitives.
