After I did Fastest Muscle Cars in 2014 I thought I should carry on the muscle cars articles series and I came up with Muscle Cars Featured in Movies | TOP 10. With my previous article you’ve seen how powerful and fast these cars are and also learned how expensive they can be. In this one you get to see how good they look on camera. 7

I have combined my passion for muscle cars with the love for the movies and I thought I should share with you the results and this is how Muscle Cars Featured in Movies | Top 10 was born.  This is where classic movies got together with classics cars and I have to say, the results were great.

Number 10 – “HOT RODS TO HELL” (1967)

This one was an intense movie and because of that the producers thought that it will be more  receptive on the teaters than the TV. The  muscle cars featured in movie was a red 1958 Corvette Convertible (Custom).

Number 9 – “REBEL WITHOUT A CAUSE” (1955)

Jim Stark played by the iconic James Dean drives, but more like flew a 1949 Mercury toward a cliff.

Number 8 – “BULLITT” (1968)

The 1968 Ford Mustang 390 CID Fastback played the “role” of a detective’s partner in solving the crimes. It was driven by Lit. Frank Bullitt brought to life by legendary Steve McQueen.

Number 7 –“VANISHING POINT” (1971)

A 1970 Dodge Challenger was used by Kowalsky (Barry Newman) to escape the police. This car was not the only muscle car featured in that film.

Number 6 – “AMERICAN GRAFFITI” (1973)

The actor Charles Martin Smith was playing Terry “The Tood” Fields who we have to admit was looking good in his borrowed 1958 Chevy Impala.

Number 5 – “MAD MAX” (1979)

This black heavily modified 1973 Ford Falcon XB GT Coupe was named “The Interceptor”  and it was driven by Mel Gibson who played the main character Max.

Number 4 – “GONE IN 60 SECONDS” (2000)

Featured a 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 called “Eleanor”. Driven by the main character played by Nicholas Cage.

Number 3 – Transformers (1,2,3)

This car was featured in all the Transformers movies. Do you know who I am talking about? That’s right, is Bumblebee, a Chevrolet Camaro to be more specific. Driven by Sam Witwicky ( Shia LaBeouf) this car helped the Chevrolet to come back in the market.

Number 2 – “BLADE” (1998)

A thirsty vampire drives a 1968 Dodge Charger in his journey to control and prevent the vampires to spread and kill humans. Wesley Snipes played the famous vampire Blade and driven this bad boy.

Number 1 – “2 FAST 2 FURIOUS” ( 2001)

Of course in my list had to be one of these movies. I choose to talk about this one cause I feel in love with Dom’s car, a vintage 1969 Yenko Camaro SYC.
