1Fisherman’s Bastion
This place looks like a fairy tale. Designed in neo-Gothic and neo-Romanesque style, Fisherman’s Bastion is situated on the Castle Hill, on the Buda bank of the Danube.
Built between 1895 and 1902, the Bastion offers stunning views of Margaret Island, Gellert Hill, Pest and, of course, Danube.
It has an amazing structure. It features 7 towers, representing the 7 Magyar tribes that settle in the Carpathian Basin, in 896.
And that bronze statue of Stephen I of Hungary on a horse is just amazing. It can go hand in hand with the basilica.
So if you visit one building, you’d better visit the other one.
