8Parliament Building
Located in Lajos Kossuth Square, the Hungarian Parliament Building is a notable landmark of this country and currently, it is the largest building in Hungary and the tallest in Budapest.
This impressive building was made of more than 40 million bricks, 500.000 precious gems and 40 kilograms of gold.
The Parliament Building measures 879 feet in length and 404 feet in width.
How do you think its interior look like ? Designed in the Gothic Revival style, it features a symmetrical facade and a central dome. The interior includes 691 rooms, 29 staircases, 27 gates, 13 elevators and 10 courtyards.
Don’t worry! Guided tours are available, providing a view of the main entrance stairs, one of the lobbies, the Hungarian Crown Jewels, the House of Lords and the grand hall.
