What made it luxury?
The body used automotive-grade stainless steel and hand-stitched leather in five colors, with optional gold plating, and each phone was assembled by hand. It also supported two active LTE SIM cards. Reviewers said it was about design rather than specs, since the Snapdragon 801 was already dated by 2015, and Tom’s Hardware doubted it felt as luxurious as the price suggested.
Is it still for sale?
We did not find a current retail listing, and a 2015 phone with Android 4.4 would not get modern security updates, so we would treat it as a collectible rather than something to use. The price comparison to its time: $6,000 bought roughly nine flagship phones of the day. That ratio is our own arithmetic on a typical $650 handset price, which we did not verify.
