8Kyteler’s Inn, Ireland – 1324
Located in Kilkenny, Ireland, Kyteler’s Inn was founded in 1324, by Alice de Kyteler.
Apparently she was sentenced to burn for witchcraft but fled in England that same year, to avoid her death sentence.
This ‘story’ is good, because it attracts many tourists. I mean, you would like to know how the bar founded by a witch looks like, don’t you?
And that black cat as a logo. Could it be Alice?
Since 1986, the bar has a new ownership, offering some of the best traditional food and drink.
