Of course this is a country from Africa. Ruled by France during the colonial period and after it became independent country they were unable to sustain their economic needs. We all know what happened after that.
It all turned badly when they were been threatened by civil wars from their neighbor countries. If there were a solid political system and a fearless leader maybe but maybe this country might have change.
Without a political system and a proper leadership qualities in their actual leaders this country may never be as good as they were when France was in charge, before they become independent.
Its income per capita is 1.450 which is below the poverty line and in HDI it stands at the 130th rank.
Lying in Western Africa with its capital at Lome, Togo is officially known as Togolese Republic.
It has a favorable climate for agriculture, but is not enough because it relies on foreign aid from other countries and World Bank.
