Poseidon Undersea Resorts was a proposed series of underwater 5 star resorts that was first slated to open in September, 2008. The first should be located on a private island in Fiji.  It looks like this project will be the world’s first permanent one-atmosphere seafloor structure. Poseidon is a project developed by L. Bruce Jones, president of the U.S. Submarines, Inc.

This magnificent project it is currently under construction on Katafinga Island in Fiji. With his brilliant ideas, Jones needed to find an appropriate location. For finding it, Jones offered a $10,000 reward for anybody that came up with the perfect location for the venture.After a year of failure the location was scrapped and sights were set on Fiji. The deal was made with the owner of a privately owned 225-acre (0.91 km2) South Pacific Island located in northeastern Fiji.

The resort will have amazing view rooms, an underwater bar and restaurant, conference room, a library, wedding chapel, spa and a luxury suite. Reservations at the resort were to be priced at $30,000/couple per week.

The beautiful Pacific Ocean Island of Fiji is an inactive volcano which gradually developed into a coconut plantation. Several palm trees form a circle around the island, providing homes and shelter to different species of birds.  On this magnificent islad you can see many varieties of dolphins , sea turtles or local fauna.

There are 48 villas situated on the stunning Poseidon Concept Resort with private splash pool fitted with an open living room that offers a stunning view of a beautiful courtyard. The bungalows are decorated in a manner that easily complements its natural surroundings.

The resort will also be equipped with amenities like a tennis court, fitness center, private splash pools and an executive golf course.
