The 1969 Chevrolet Corvette ZL-1 had an all-aluminium engine block that was only put into 3 cars. The cars were all specially ordered, the first one being ordered by one of the factory’s workers in St. Louis, Missouri.
Producing 500 horsepower, the cars were then ordered by two other Chevrolet employees. With a Special Turbo Jet 427 cubic inch engine, the car costed $10.771 back in 1969, and for Chevy’s employees.
Just imagine how much it would cost now for the public if it would be produced.
