6. It is not like owning a fancy sports car
If you are thinking to buy a private jet just to top your community because a sports car is not enough, then forget it. Owning a private jet is nothing like owning a luxury car. Neighbors passing your open garage can admire your fancy car. But the only people who pass the hangar where you store your private jet are the airport crews.
Unless you post pictures on your social media accounts, your flight crews are the only audience to your swag as you get on your private jet. And unless you are flying it yourself, you don’t have the luxury to brag like when you drive your Ferrari around the neighborhood.
In the other hand, you will not get the same satisfaction from owning a private jet compared to owning a sports car. So, if that is what you are looking for, private jet is not for you.
Perhaps you can just buy a more valuable car. It does not have to be more expensive, it can be one of a kind. There are many options you can choose from. NIO EP9 for example. It is the fastest electric car and manufactured limitedly. Or you can go for classic rare car like some of the most expensive Ferrari sold at auction.
