3. Stands on Political Stability
Monaco is led by Prince Albert II and Minister Serge Telle under the Unitary Constitutional Monarchy since 1911. It has been led by the Grimaldi for over 700 years. For such period, there have been no major political issues.
Although it is considered to be the most liberal, the unitary tend to be more conservative because of its alignment with the Roman Catholic Church.
The hereditary and constitutional monarchy is based on the separation of three powers: executive (retained by Prince Albert II), legislative (exercised jointly by the Prince and a national council), and budgetary (exercised independently by courts and tribunals).
All of these make Monaco’s political situation stable. It is what investors need in order to secure their assets’ value. Hence, they feel secure enough to live in Monaco and bring their business with.
