10. Chance-Vought F4U-4
The Chance Vought F4U was manufactured in 1945. Many of them were used by the U.S. Marine and Navy during the Pacific War to carry and drop bombs on enemy targets. This model is so powerful that one of them even defeated a Soviet jet in the beginning of 1950s.
The Red Bull’s Chance Vought F4U-4 is also known as the Corsair. There are only fifteen of them in the world. And only four of them soaring through the European sky. One of them is owned by the Red Bull.
If you are lucky, you can witness the Corsair’s aerobatic stunts during the Flying Bulls events. It is definitely worth to watch this single-seated masterpiece in action.
The Corsair is 10.2 meters long and 12.5 meters span. It is equipped with one Pratt & Whitney R 2800 CB-3 engine with 2,400 horsepower.
