9. Douglas DC-6B

According to the Flying Bulls, this is their crown jewel. It is not just about the size but also the history behind it.

The Douglas DC-6B was manufactured by Douglas Aircraft Company of USA in 1958. This particular model owned by the Red Bulls was bought in 2000 from a manager of small aviation company in Namibia.

The jewel is a 32.2-meter-long and 35.8-meter-span aircraft. It is equipped with four Pratt & Whitney R 2800 CB-3 engines with 2,400 horsepower each. It can fly up to 8,400 km high with maximum 550 km/h speed.

Not everyone can experience flying with this vintage aircraft. The Red Bull Racing team (the principal and the two drivers) had this rare opportunity as they went to their home race in Spielberg, Austria earlier this year.
