In 2003, the company directors must have sat and thought, “What else can we do?” Apparently, the answer was air racing. In fact, Red Bull does not just sponsor one single racing pilot or team. It has its own air racing event: Red Bull Air Race World Championship.
Since that year, the world has been witnessing the aircrafts performing maneuvers on race tracks above the ground across the world.
Each pilot who competes in this air race use high-performance aerobatic planes equipped with Lycoming engines. Each of them is 7.6 meters span. It can fly up to 426 km/h. Like most racing events, each racing team is allowed to tune the aircraft for better performance. But this one is more limited due to safety reasons.
