You know that right now he is starring in the Gotham TV show where he plays Detective James Gordon, right?
But before that, he had some serious connections to the Batman universe. Ben McKenzie had the role of Batman in the animated film Batman: Year One.
Year One is the film where Batman fans get to see the character on one of the earliest missions he had.
Gotham, much like Year One, takes place in the early days of Jim Gordon’s career on the GCPD. In these days, Batman wasn’t even a thought in Bruce Wayne’s head.
