In the 1990 MLB draft, Chipper Jones was the number one overall pick and went onto play for the Atlanta Braves for his whole 19-year career.
Jones’ career statistics are pretty incredible. When he retired from Major League Baseball in 2012, he had 468 home runs, 8,984 bats, 1,512 walks and played in 2,499 games. When he was officially retired as as player in 2013, he was officially induced into the Braves’ Hall of Fame.
His biggest deal was in 2000 and worth $90 million, and his performance during that season made him the 5th best in the League.
