Dr Thomas Frist began as a surgeon in the US Air Force, was then a cardiologist in Nashville, and then founded the Hospital Corporation of America with his father.
The Hospital Corporation of America would go on to be the largest operator of health care facilities in the whole world, and went public in 1969.
He was inducted into the Healthcare Hall of Fame and massively benefited from Obamacare financially too, to the tune of $1.5 billion reportedly.
