13. Dr Oz – Net worth $7 million
Dr Oz was part of the Department of Surgery at Columbia University after studying medicine at Harvard, but he’s most famous for being a health expert on Oprah Winfrey’s show for five seasons.
As well as directing the Cardiovascular Institute at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Dr Oz has hosted his own show on both TV and radio, and made a handful of other TV appearances.
He is also an author, has a column in Esquire and O, and has won six Daytime Emmys.
Some have criticized Dr Oz for endorsing flimsy medical advice and ‘pseudoscience’.
As well as legitimate medical opinions, he’s also endorsed homeopathy, Reiki, and faith healing, making him skeptical in the eyes of some of the medical community.
