Vijay Singh, also known as The Big Fijian, was once the world number one for a pretty long period of time. He was on top for 32 weeks from 2004, to be exact.
Vijay was born on February 22, 1963. He turned pro in 1982 but joined the PGA Tour only after 1993. Prior to that, he was on Asian and European Tour.
The tall Fijian man has won 60 professional tournaments, including 34 PGA Tour titles. On top of that, he has won the PGA Championship not just once, but twice in 1998 and 2004.
Unfortunately, the 53-year-old man has been suffering from back injury. He took a break from pro golf in 2009. Then, he tried to come back a year later, but things are just not quite the same anymore for the former world number one.
