1- Woody Harrelson: $65 Million
And here we are, at number 1 with the great actor Woody Harrelson. Ever since he was born (July 23, 1961) he had this passion for acting.
However, not much happened before his breakout role came. It happened in the television sitcom “Cheers” where he got the role as a bartender Woody Boyd in 1985.
And from there the career of this American actor went higher. Some of his notable film characters include basketball hustler Billy Hoyle in “White Men Can’t Jump”, one-handed bowler Roy Munson in “Kingpin”, serial killer Mickey Knox in “Natural Born Killers”.
We also recall roles like the magazine publisher Larry Flynt in The People vs. Larry Flynt, and country singer Dusty in A Prairie Home Companion.
Because he is a great actor the rewards had to come to him eventually. And it did. He earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor for “The People vs. Larry Flynt”.
And yes, he is the one that starred in the HBO crime drama series “True Detective” with Matthew McCounaughey.
And of course there is the part from Hunger Games, a film that made him even more famous when he was cast as Haymitch Abernathy.
