3. Renzo Rosso – $3.5 Billion
One of the most innovative male designers is Renzo Rosso.
This guy is so awesome and made his fortune without any formal training in fashion. Rosso is the mastermind behind the explosion of “stonewashed”.
Stonewashed is the process for jeans; the jeans are literally washed with stones to give them a faded, worn look.
The best idea Rosso had when he co-founded the popular clothing line Diesel. But there is life after Diesel, and he has focused on adding to his fashion empire the high-end Dutch fashion house Viktor & Rolf.
And recently bought the Italian brand Marni; Renzo Rosso is a man drive by success. I’m sure we’ll be hearing from him soon enough.
