Heidi Klum began as a famous model and developed into a successful TV presenter and producer.
Klum was offered a modelling contact worth $300,000 in 1992, and within a few years had appeared on some of the biggest international fashion magazines in the world, including Elle and Russian Harpers Bazaar. In 1999 she became Victoria’s Secret’s first German Angel and continued to model for the famous underwear brand for 13 years.
Throughout the years, Klum has fought with designers who have dismissed her frame and weight. Karl Lagerfeld once dismissed her runway ability and said “she is simply too heavy and has too big a bust.” Regardless, her reputation speaks for itself. And the fact she’s still one of the richest models in the world, of course.
