Considered an ‘ugly duckling’ at school, Tyra Banks left Inglewood California for Milan when she was 16 and booked 25 shows in her first season of Paris Fashion Week, beginning her journey to becoming one of the richest models in the world.
Walking for Chanel, Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, Armani, Michael Kors and Marc Jacobs, amongst many others, Banks also signed a major contract with CoverGirl Cosmetics in 1993. As well as modelling, Banks is perhaps most famous for hosting America’s Next Top Model and her own talk show.
