12. Drew Brees – $55 million
While the previous three players have already retired, Drew Brees is still up and running. Since 2006, he has been playing for New Orleans Saints as a quarterback.
Brees has estimated $55 million of net worth and that number will continue to grow. The Saints are paying him around $230,000 per week. That put him as the 10th highest paid current NFL player. And thanks to his good look (in addition to his great performance on field), he has more than ten endorsements from big sponsors which give him $11 million annual earnings. Among them are Nike, Wrangler, Microsoft, and Pepsi.
Throughout his sixteen seasons in NFL, he has scored 428 touchdowns and made 205 interceptions. And he is the record holder for most consecutive game with a touchdown pass with 54 games.
In 2010, Brees brought the Saints to win the Super Bowl XLIV with a staggering 14 points lead from the Indianapolis Colts. He was also the MVP.
