7. Brett Favre – $100 million
Brett Favre was the first NFL player to win the MVP award for three consecutive years (1995 – 1997). He spent most of his career playing for Green Bay Packers as a quarterback.
His last weekly salary before he retired five years ago was around $260,000. However, most of his $100 million net worth came from business and marketing sectors. He has many endorsement deals with major companies such as Nike, MasterCard, Hyundai, Wrangler, Sensodyne, Snapper, and Sears.
Even when he was still an active NFL player, Favre started his own business in motorsport. Alongside NASCAR driver, Dale Jarrett, his team lasted for two seasons in Busch Series. He is currently a member of Sqor’s Board of Directors.
