8. Les Stroud — $5.5 million
Former musician, Les began his career as an outdoor/adventurer man shortly after he realized that he loves it.
That happened one day, through Temagami when he was a canoe tour guide. Soon after that he became an expert in wildness survival skills.
With the help of his skills he started the show Survivorman on Outdoor Life Network. In the show we saw him surviving many times with the help of his surroundings in the middle of nowhere.
He has also produced/ composed/directed and wrote many other shows for various networks including Discovery Channel, Science Channel, and YTV.
*When he is not out struggling for his survivor he is home with his two children and his wife Susan.
