Mukesh Ambani was the fifth richest person in the world in 2008, him being worth $43 billion at that time. Unfortunately, his fortune dropped radically, losing $2.9 billion in the last year alone.
But he has nothing to complain about, he is still one of Asia’s richest people anyway. He is the Chairman, Managing Director and largest shareholder of Reliance Industries Limited, a Fortune Global 500 company and India’s second most valuable company by market value.
He plans on investing $25 billion in the next 2 years, and since the government approved the doubling of the nation’s gas prices, things seem to brighten up for Ambani.
The billionaire is an animal protector and vegetarian, him banning his Reliance Retail chain from selling non-vegetarian items.
