Saputo is called Canada’s cheese king for a good reason. He started as a mozzarella delivery-boy, and now he is one of the richest people in Canada. He is the founder and chairman of the Canadian-based cheese manufacturer Saputo, Inc.
The billionaire took over the Australian Warrnambool Cheese and Butter Factory in a deal worth more than $390 million, and stepped down from the CEO post in 2004 in favour of his son, but he’s still the chairman of the company.
