Richard Desmond is a 63-year-old English publisher and businessman.
He is the owner of Express Newspapers, but he probably made all the money from being the founder of Northern & Shell.
Northern & Shell is a British publishing and television group that published numerous celebrity magazine, such as OK!, New! and national newspapers such as Daily Star and Daily Express. The company also owns Portland TV and used to own Channel 5 too, but they recently agreed to sell it to Viacom for £450 million.
According to Sunday Times Rich List, Desmond was ranked the 57th richest man in Britain in 2010.
