Born on January 28, 1940, Carlos Slim Helu comes from a family of Lebanese immigrants and became a billionaire after the big economic crash in 1982.
Known as the ‘Warren Buffett of Mexico’, he is the CEO and Chairman of telecommunications companies America Movil and Telmex.
The mogul of telecommunications invested last year in football, and he bought 3 teams: Club Leon, Real Oviedo and Club Pachuca.
The funny part is that the richest man in Mexico earned 200 pesos a week working for his father’s company. And back then, we was just a 17-year-old boy.
