And the richest man in Romania is the businessman Ioan Niculae who has an estimated net worth of 1 billion euro.
He is the owner of the country’s leading fertilizer and agricultural conglomerate, InterAgro Group.
With the help of his company, Ioan manages close to 50,000 hectares of agricultural fields and he is also known to be the biggest cereal cultivator in Romania.
In 2013 Ioan was featured in the Forbes magazine and he was the 3rd Romanian to get this honor after Dinu Patriciu & Ion Tiriac.
Apart from his holding company, Ioan is also the owner of Astra Giurgiu, the football team, since 1996.
