Alisher Burkhanovich Usmanov is an Uzbek-born, British citizen, and Russian business magnate. Forbes magazine ranked him as number one on Forbes website data, is Russia’s richest man, with a fortune estimated at $18.6 billion, and the world’s 34th richest person.
In May 2014, The Sunday Times listed him as the second richest person in the UK with an estimated fortune of $18.6 billion. In 2015, he is ranked 4th on the same list.
He made his fortune through metal and mining operations, and investments, and is the majority shareholder of Metalloinvest, a Russian industrial conglomerate, which consolidated in 2006 JSC METALLOINVEST’s assets.
He also happens to own one of the most expensive private jets in the world!
