Chey Tae-Won was the Chairman of SK Corporation, the third largest conglomerate in South Korea. He stepped down from the position after he lost his last appeal in February.
Tae-Won was accused for embezzling funds ($40 million) from a subsidiary of the group, and is serving a 4-year sentence.
It’s not the first time the billionaire went to prison, him serving 7 months for accounting fraud in 2003.
