Rachel’s older sister, Magdalena Martullo-Blocher is the one that occupies the CEO position at Ems-Chemie.
Of the four siblings, she is the only one who still gets nearly all of her fortune from her 30% stake in the company. She is also the only one that is involved in the management of her father’s company.
She took command of the company on January 1, 2004 as Vice President and Chief Executive Officer. It is interesting to point out that her father, Dr. Christoph Blocher is not the founder of the company, he actually starting working as a student in the legal department of Ems-Chemie in 1969.
Plus, she didn’t just wait to inherit her father’s fortune. Before she became CEO, she held management positions with Johnson & Johnson and Swiss beverage maker Rivella.
