Ever heard of Group Voyagers? Well, it is marketed globally as Globus and also known as Globus Travel Group and it’s a worldwide group of escorted tour, river cruise and independent travel package companies.
All this evolved from Globus, the company that Antonio Mantegazza founded in 1928 with a single gondola that ferried tourists around Lake Lugano.
His son Sergio took that and took it to a whole new level. Today, the travel group includes European river cruises and guided tours in the U.S., the UK, Canada, Australia, and South Africa.
Sergio also owns the Luton Airport-based Monarch Airlines and a share of his family’s collection of Lugano real estate.
At this moment, his net worth is estimated to be $4.4 Billion.
